How SEO and GEO Helped Two UAE Business Services Websites Grow

The two projects in this case study operate in the UAE business services market, but they started from very different positions. The first was an established website with existing traffic and backlinks. The second entered promotion with almost no visibility in Google and required both SEO and GEO work.

Together, the cases show how the strategy changes depending on the age and condition of a website — and what consistent work with content, technical optimisation and backlinks can achieve.

Case 1: Established Legal and Business Setup Website in the UAE

We began working with the first project in August 2021. The website already attracted organic traffic and had 808 referring domains, but its visibility was still limited compared with the available search demand.

The objective was to increase traffic from Google and strengthen the commercial pages used to generate enquiries for legal and business setup services in the UAE.

The Challenge

The market had relatively few strong UAE-focused content competitors at the time. This created room for growth, but the website still needed broader topic coverage and more authority to compete for commercial queries.

The existing pages also required usability improvements. Most of them worked as landing pages, so attracting more visitors was only one part of the task: the information and page structure also needed to support lead generation.

What We Did

The campaign combined ongoing content, backlink and website improvement work.

Each month, we:

  • built 30–40 backlinks from English-language websites related to business and other relevant topics;
  • published 10 new blog articles based on an analysis of competitors’ strongest pages;
  • expanded topics that competitors had covered only briefly;
  • reviewed and improved commercial landing pages;
  • monitored the website’s technical condition;
  • used a small number of relevant expired domains as an additional source of authority.

Backlinks were not limited to UAE websites. There were too few suitable local donor sites in this niche, so selection was based primarily on relevance, authority and traffic quality.

Changes in Organic Traffic

Ahrefs estimated the website’s monthly organic traffic at roughly 7,000 visits when the campaign began.

Organic traffic at the beginning of the campaign in August 2021, alongside the number of referring domains

In August 2022, the estimate stood at 38,024 visits per month. Over that year, the referring domain count moved from 808 to 1,094.

In other words, monthly organic traffic was more than five times higher than at the starting point.

Organic traffic reached 38,024 monthly visits by August 2022, while the number of referring domains increased to 1,094

The peak came in April 2022: Ahrefs showed more than 44,000 estimated visits for that month. This was over six times the August 2021 figure and was achieved nine months into the campaign.

The website exceeded 44,000 estimated monthly organic visits nine months after the campaign began

Case 1 Results

After one year, estimated monthly organic traffic had risen from about 7,000 visits to more than 38,000. At its peak, the figure passed 44,000.

There was no single change behind this result. We published new content every month, added backlinks, revised the commercial pages and kept technical issues under control.

Case 2: UAE Business Consulting Website

Work on the second project started in May 2025. Google visibility was almost non-existent at that point: the website ranked for just one keyword.

The work combined SEO with GEO/AEO. Alongside building conventional search traffic, we wanted the website to appear in AI-generated answers related to company formation and business services in the UAE.

The Challenge

The UAE business setup market is highly competitive. Many companies offer similar services and publish content covering the same free zones, licences, visas and registration procedures.

Content alone was unlikely to provide enough differentiation. The project also needed stronger domain authority, clearer commercial pages and a structure that search engines and AI systems could interpret correctly.

Our SEO Work

We collected and structured a semantic core covering:

  • company formation in the UAE;
  • individual Emirates and free zones;
  • business licences;
  • residence visas;
  • related consulting services.

Based on this research, we:

  • prepared more than 10 content briefs per month;
  • developed hub pages for individual Emirates;
  • provided monthly recommendations for titles and meta descriptions;
  • conducted a technical SEO audit;
  • completed two usability audits of the main commercial pages;
  • built backlinks each month;
  • used relevant expired domains to support the website’s authority;
  • added the business to local directories;
  • set up and optimised its Google Maps presence.

Our GEO and AEO Work

A separate GEO audit was completed in September 2025. It covered the website’s main commercial and informational sections.

We analysed prompts for which competitors were already appearing in AI-generated answers and used this information when preparing new content briefs. Existing sections were also revised where their structure made important information difficult for AI systems to identify.

The technical recommendations covered markup and other settings that influence how LLMs access and interpret website content.

Growth in Google Search

The first change became visible quickly. Within two months, the number of ranking keywords increased from one to 164.

Google Search Console then recorded continued growth in clicks:

  • September 2025: 15 clicks;
  • November 2025: 472 clicks;
  • December 2025: 676 clicks;
  • January 2026: 735 clicks.

From September to January, the number of clicks increased almost 49 times.

Daily Google Search Console data shows this acceleration taking shape: clicks climbing from near zero in September to consistent daily peaks by December

The rise continued through December and January rather than stopping after the initial increase. In December, clicks grew by 30% compared with the previous month; January brought a further 9% increase.

Organic visibility and the number of referring domains increased throughout the campaign

Visibility in ChatGPT

GEO recommendations began producing a visible result soon after implementation. The first regular appearances in ChatGPT answers were recorded within two weeks.

ChatGPT referral traffic appeared within two weeks of implementing the GEO recommendations and continued to grow during October

By November 2025, ChatGPT was sending around 30 visits to the website each day. The client also noted more enquiries, including messages from customers who had previously used competing companies.

Case 2 Results

The website moved from one ranking keyword to broad Google visibility within the first months of the campaign. It eventually ranked for 164 queries, while Google Search Console clicks increased from 15 in September 2025 to 735 in January 2026.

GEO brought an additional result: the website began appearing in ChatGPT answers within two weeks of implementation, and AI referral traffic reached approximately 30 visits per day by November.
