SEO PROMOTION ON TILDA
In this article, I will describe how to set up a site on TILDA properly from the SEO point of view. In my experience, sites on Tilda are well promoted in the English-speaking segment of the Internet, Google loves this engine, which means you should not neglect it.
Some say that sites on free engines, and especially the ones designed mainly for landings (single-page sites), are not able to get into the Top 10 of search engines. This is partly true as sites based on free engines are rarely seen in the Top for high-frequency queries. The exception, perhaps, is WORDPRESS, which, despite its availability, is quite successfully promoted, especially in the niches of blogs and information sites. But TILDA definitely outperforms WORDPRESS with its simplicity and design. If sites made on WORDPRESS are often bland and look like from the Stone Age, the sites on TILDA tend to look quite modern. So, let’s get to the point.
The first thing you should go to when optimizing a site on TILDA is the SEO-RECOMMENDATIONS section. To do this, Go to the site settings:
Next, in the left column, look for the SEO section:
Next, find the Search engine optimization section, SEO recommendations and click on View. Note that this button only works for paid subscription plans:
We get to this page of Recommendations:
What we need here is the right column indicating what should be fixed on the site. So, let’s break it down step by step:
Setting the H1 tag in TILDA
- Go to the admin panel to edit the page
- In the block with the title, move the mouse to the upper left corner, so that the following block appears:
3. Click on Settings and scroll down with the arrow key and see this field:
Select H1 here, save. Now, our page title is in H1 tags.
Editing TITLE and DESCRIPTION meta tags in TILDA
Go to the admin panel on the page and find Settings on the top right:
By clicking on it, we get to the Settings module. Here, we should select the FACEBOOK AND SEO section:
By clicking on FACEBOOK AND SEO, we can see the Display in search results section. Here, we click on Set special meta-data and get to the following module:
В этом модуле:
- In this module:
- Title – the content of the TITLE meta tag
- Description – the content of DESCRIPTION
- Keywords – the content of the KEYWORDS meta tag
- Canonical link to the page – content REL=CANONICAL
- Indexing – adds NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW attributes for the page
- Links – closes links from search engines in NOFOLLOW
Main SEO settings for a Tilda site
The main SEO settings for TILDA can be found in the site settings. I showed how to get to this section in the very first screenshot in this article.
Now let’s look at exactly what settings the SEO module includes:
HTTPS SETUP
Here, you can set up HTTPS for your site. As I have noticed, Google loves HTTPS and I think only sites with HTTPS will be in the Top soon. However, a SSL certificate is not so affordable, the minimum price is about 2000 rubles a year (and you should invest some time and effort into finding this cheap option). Therefore, decide for yourself whether you need the SSL certificate at the moment. If your site does not process payments, the certificate is not required.
SEO RECOMMENDATIONS
I wrote about this section at the very beginning, so I will skip it here.
GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE
Here, you can bind the site to the GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE, I recommend doing this to see how GOOGLE treats your site and what keywords the site is ranked in GOOGLE for.
YANDEX WEBMASTER
Binding the site to Ya.Webmaster. Important if you want the site to be promoted in ru-net.
PAGE REDIRECTS (CODE 301)
This is a very convenient function that other engines lack. Respect to Tilde for providing it. This service allows you to register a 301 redirect in case the page address has changed:
REDIRECTS FOR WWW, HTTPS
Another great feature. On other engines, you have to go into the .htacces file to register all redirects from www and from htps in the code. On Tilda, this is done through the admin panel
EDITING ICONS (FAVICONS)
The section allows you to upload a FAVICON file, which is used by search engines in the SERP and by browsers.
PROHIBITION ON INDEXING
If you want to disclose your site from search engines, for example, if it is not ready yet, then you can do it in this section.
DETERMINING THE MAIN SITE ADDRESS IN META FILES
It allows you to specify WWW and HTTPS in the site address, if necessary, without dwelling into the code.
This is probably all you need to know about TILDA seo settings. Have any questions? Feel free to ask!
Good luck in promotion!
